Overall, the IT industry in 1992 put 6% of the wealth in the country’s GDP and Service industry contribute 2% lesser. In the year 1994, the rate of share increased by 2.5% in both sectors. Comparatively, the IT sector faced a downfall in their contribution of 0.5%, while the service industry gets 1% increased in the income in the year 1996.
After 1996, the IT industry rapidly increasing and its potential of adding to the GDP growth has been changed to 12% from 6% which was in 1992, it doubles in 1998. In addition, the service industry remains unchanged in the same year. Furthermore, lastly, the IT sector holds the highest share on GDP growth, which across the 15% of the share and the service sector stays at 8% in 2000.
Therefore, the IT industry has confronted the gaining rate of a portion which gets doubled in 2000 and service industry looked up for average rate of portion in the GDP of the UK.
