The pie charts illustrate the proportion of time spent by working adults on various activities in a particular nation in two years, namely 1958 and 2008. Overall, there were noticeable changes in the percentage of time spent on sleeping and going with family and friends, traveling to work, working and relaxing at home, while a constant trend can be seen if we look at the figure for other reasons. It is also clear that the figure for sleeping was the highest among activities in 1958; however, that for relaxing at home was larger than for any other in 2008.
At the beginning of the period, a quarter of working adults' time was spent on sleeping, compared to 24% on going out with family and 20% on relaxing at home. Over the following 50 years, the proportion of time which was spent sleeping by working adults fell to 20%, and the figure for going with family and friends also declined to 24%. By contrast, this country saw the percentage of time working adults spent relaxing at home rise slightly, to 23%
In 1958, working and traveling to work accounted for 15?% and 10% of the total time of working adults, while the figure for other reasons was slightly lower, at only 6%. After 50 years, The proportion of time spent working rose considerably, reaching 19% in 2008. Furthermore, the figure for traveling to work also increased to 14%; however, that for others remained stable
