The climograph below shows average monthly temperatures and rainfall in the city of Kolkata.
The given climograph illustrates the information regarding changes on rainfall and temperature in Kolkata over a period of year.
It can be clearly seen that, highest temperature was recorded in the month of July whereas the average rainfall was more than 200 mm throughout the period.
As a matter of fact, in January temperature of Kolkata started nearly from minus 16 degree Celsius and there was a gradual increased on this trend up to a May where it was recorded at 0 degree Celsius. Similarly, temperature of June was recorded more than twice as much than it had in May and this trend was still increased in July and reached up to a peak at about 35 degree Celsius. After reaching a peak at 35 degree in the following month the temperature was decreased by half in October and stabilized at the lowest degree of minus 18 degree Celsius at the end of year.
On the other hand, rainfall in Kolkata started from just below the 250 mm in January and there was an upward trend in terms of rainfall for next four months where it had recorded at about 300 mm. moreover, there was the a continuous decrease on this trend and almost stabilized with its initial month at the end of the year.
