The diagram below describes how stormwater is recycled in an Australian city

The picture illustrates the process of recycling of the stormwater in a particular city in Australia.
Overall, it is readily apparent that the process involves five main steps, which start when the rainwater is collected by a drainage system, are followed by various treatment steps, and end when the clean water is delivered into accommodations for domestic use.
Looking at the diagram for the detail, the initial step of the process involves the rainwater falling onto the roofs is collected by a series of drains, which flows into a water recycling plant. In this plant, the water undergoes four further filtration steps. Largest waste consisting of plastic and other rubbish is firstly removed, and then small particles are discarded from the water. Bacteria and viruses are subsequently eliminated, followed by the disposal of tiny molecules and salt.
At the next stage, the water is transported through a pipe into a first treatment tank where chlorine is added at a concentrate level of 4mg/l for further purification. After being stored in a second reservoir, the clean water is ready to be distributed through a network of pipes to houses for household consumption on sunny days.
