Overall, the process involves various stages beginning with water flowing into a reservoir and ending with electricity transmitting to a national grid.
The procedure commences with river water stored in a high-level reservoir which is created by constructing a dam to block river flow and lowering the river bed.
Following this, an intake that is opened during the daytime and closed at night allows water to flow to reversible turbines to produce electricity. By this step, these turbines activate a generator in a power station to generate power lines which are then transmitted to the national grid system. Next, water is released into a low-level reservoir in the daytime for storage but in the nighttime, it is pumped back into the reversible turbines which create a push to pump water back to the high reservoir, ready for daytime activities.
