The diagram below shows the process for recycling plastic bottles.

The flowchart illustrates the procedure of how plastic bottles are recycled.
It is noticeable that there are nine phases in changing plastic bottles into end products like clothing, pens, or new plastic products.
As is shown in the graph, residents are supposed to throw plastic bottles into recycled trash cans. Afterwards, professional companies will collect those bottles and transport them by truck to the recycling center. The plastic bottles will be sorted by staff to check if they can be recycled. After selection, the correct bottles will be compressed into blocks and crushed by machines. Next, the crushed fragments will be collected in the water pool and washed.
In the following stage, the fragments will be put into another machine in order to turn them into plastic pellets. The seventh step is to heat those pellets until they become raw material, which is going to be gathered as the ingredients of new products. Finally, the raw material will be used to produce end products, such as clothes, recycled bags, and new plastic products.
