The diagram depicts the stages in milk production as well as the manufacture of other daily products.
Overall, there are five stages in the process, beginning with the cows grazing the grass and ending with these milk products are being purchased by consumers.
The first stage in the process is cows feeding the grass in the field. For a period of twice a day, these cows are brought from the farm to the milking facility where they are milked by a milking machine. These milk which are produced daily is kept fresh in the refrigerated storage tanks. Every day, the milk is collected by trucks and transported to a daily factory. It is here that milk and other daily products are created.
Usually these milks undergo pasteurization which is helpful in killing harmful bacteria through heat-treating. Some of the milk is converted into other products such as cheese and butter. These finished products are transported to shops and supermarkets and thus is ready for consumption.
