The diagram shows rainwater is collected for the use of drinking water in an Australian town.
The diagram depicts information regarding the man-made process of rainwater collection in order to use for drinking in an Australian town. Overall, there are five steps in the process, beginning with the collection of rainwater on the rooftops of houses and ending with the distribution of potable drinking water into separate demanding houses.
At the initial stages of the process, rainwater slides off the rooftops and go into the drain system which is installed on the walls of the houses. Following this, a water filter beneath the ground is used to filtrate any sediments or impurities in the collected liquid. After that, the clean water moves through the pipe to a storage tank.
The next steps begin with the storage rainwater moving to a water treatment tank which has the same size as the storage, at this stage several chemicals are used to eliminate any bacteria or germs. Finally, the drinkable water pumps into another set of pipe systems that connects to each house and residents can access it through their water facets.
