The diagrams describe the utilization of wave energy to generate electricity. It is noticeable that the wave power is used in two different phases. The two phases are power generation from incoming wave called phase A and outgoing wave called phase B.
In phase A, the incoming wave moves to the beach line protected by a cliff or sea wall. Then, the incoming wave is trapped into a chamber before it pushes the air to flow up in the column. At this step, the turbine is started to rotate caused by the flow of air in the column. Following this, electricity is generated.
On the other hand, wave generation from outgoing waves also can be utilized. The wave that is moving away from the chamber affects the absorption of air around the column. Next, the turbine also gets the power of rotation in the same direction to generate electricity. This is the end of the cycle in phase B, then it starts all over again to phase A.
