The figure shows demographic trends in Scotland

The chart illustrates demographic trends of people who lives in Scotland ranging from 1940 to 2020 in terms of birth rate, population growth rate and death rate.
Overall, the percentage of population growth and birth rates seemed to similar changing which fluctuated remarkably. Besides, after dramatical declined, the percentage of death ratio remained the same for many years.
First of all, the percentage of birth rate seem to higher than death rate, it was highest level in 1940 around by 2.5 %, the difference was 1.5% as well. Over the following three years, the percentage of birth and population growth had a little fluctuation, followed by gradually rose in 1980 with around 1,5%. When it comes to death rate, after reaching highest level in 1940 which is around 1,5%, there was a dramatical fall between 1940 and 1950. Following the next 3 years, death rate levelled off.
Secondly, the percentage of birth started to fall slightly since 1990. After rising slightly between 1990 and 2000, it fell gradually thereafter. Also, after falling steadily between 1980 and 1990, the death rate lived in Scotland levelled off at under %1 since at the beginning of 2010, followed by started to rise modestly in 2020. When it comes to the population growth ratio, there was slightly go down in 1990, followed by it remained stable around by 0% and reached its lowest point.
