The line chart reveals the usage of energy by different sources of fuel in American from 1980 and predicted the consumption to 2030.
It is clear that petrol and oil were the major source of energy consumption throughout the period. In spite of the fluctuation before 1995, the usage of petrol and oily steadily increased from 35 quadrillion units in 1995 to 47 units in 2030. By contrast, the nuclear, solar/wind and hydropower used for energy were the least significant, with only 4 to 5 quadrillion units from 1980 to 1030.
Regarding coal and natural, the trends of energy usage were similar between 1980 and 2012. The chart apparent showed that consumption of two fuels steadily increased to 24 units in 2012, following that the usage of coal expected to continue to rise to 30 units in 2030. On the other hand, the amount of natural gas consumed will remain stable at around 24 units after 2012.
Overall, while American will continue to rely on the petrol and oil for energy generation, nuclear and other sustainable sources remain less popular.
