Essay topics:

The graph below shows the amount of waste produced by three companies over a period of 15 years.

The line graph compares the waste output of three companies namely A, B and C in the period from 2000 to 2015. Overall, the amount of waste produced by companies A and B over the 15-year period declined except for that of company C, which increased in any year under study. Another noticeable feature is that company A was the biggest waste producer for the majority of the time given.

To be more specific, in 2000, company A produced 12 tonnes of waste materials, which was even equal to the figures for company B (8 tonnes) and company C (4 tonnes) combined. Throughout the following 5 years, the amount of waste produced by companies B and C witnessed a moderate climb by roughly 2 tonnes, but the figure for company A declined by approximately 1 tonne.

From that time onwards, waste production of company A and company B continued to drop with varying degrees to 8 tonnes and roughly 3 tonnes respectively in 2015. Meanwhile, the figures for company C wittnessed a steady growth to 10 tonnes. A striking feature is that by 2015, company C had surpassed company A to become the dominant waste producer.
