The graph below shows the average number of UK commuters travelling each day by car bus or train between 1970 and 2030

The line graph show the changes in the number of passengers using car, bus and train for travelling in the UK from 1970 to 2020 and the expected number of travelers in 2030.
The people in the UK highly recommended car for travelling at around 5 millions of people in 1970, while train and bus had around 4 and 2 millions of passengers respectively. After 4 decades,the number of passengers in the bus and train were similar at more than three millions, whereas the number of people use car increased steadily and reached 7 millions.
The anticipated number of passengers travelled by car in 2030 will be 9 millions, which was the most popular mode of transportation. Similarly, the train will have increased to nearly 5 million passengers, while the number of passengers in bus will be reduced by around 0.5 million.
Overall, the number of commuters in the car and train show an upward trend whereas bus shows an opposite trend.
