The given line graph illustrates the numbers of the commuters travelled in the UK via the different modes of transportation since 1970 and also predicted their use until 2030.

Overall, Car was the preferred mode of travelling by people for work in past which is expected to increase in future. Although, people used train least for travelling, which was increased over the duration and is expected to continue to rise. In contrast to both of them, a decline has been noticed and also predicted the same trend in future.

Transportation via car was used by majority of people at around 5 million in 1970 which is predicted to reach 9 million by 2030. Meanwhile, Figures for bus transportation expected to decline from 4 million to just below 3 million by 2030. In contrast, commuters used the train for their movement minimally at approximately 2 million in 1970 but are predicted to rise to 4 million by 2030.
