The line-graph highlights data about consumers’average per annum amount of money spent in cell phone, national and international fixed-line and services in America, a nine-year between 2001 and 2010. Overall, it can be seen that there was a considerable upward trend in the expenditure of cell phone, whereas the national fixed-line services’expense saw a substantial fall over the period.
In 2001, around 700 dollars which was the highest expenditure came from national fixed-line services sector, then plummeted the next five years, at which point it levelled off at just 500 dollars, the same as cell phone in 2006. International fixed-line and services made up for about 230 dollars of the amount of money in comparsion with 200 dollars cell phone counterparts. The consumers’average expense of international fixed-line and services increased slowly but surely from 2001 to 2006.
There was a significantly plunge in the amount of money spent in national fixed-line services, reaching clearly 400 dollars. Standing at 750 dollars, the expenditure of cell phone was almost 2.5 times as much as that of international fixed-line and services.
