Overall, the number of people visit the island in total ranks highest over the period shown. It is noticeable that this figure significantly increase from 2010 to 2017, while there are fluctuations in number of visitors choosing to stay on cruise ships and on island.
As we can see from the graph, in 2010, there are 1 million people came to Caribbean island, this number considerably climbed by 2.65 million in 2015 and stayed unchanged within a year. Between 2016 and 2017, Caribbean saw an enormous rise in the number of tourists, with 3.5 million of visitors in 2017, Caribbean island became a tourist trap.
Turning to the other sectors, in the year 2010, the number of people visited Caribbean by cruise ships is pretty low, at only 0.3 million, compared to the figure on people staying on island in that year, 0.7 million. In the next 5 years, the number on these sectors differently considerably fluctuated until the time between 2015 and 2016, the number of cruise ships visitors surpassed the one of island staying tourist and still continued to increase significantly by 2 million in 2017, while only 1.5 million of tourists stayed on the island in the same year.
