The below chart illustrates how many people turn up to a particular Caribbean Island from 2010 to 2017.
It is apparent that despite some fluctuations, the number of travelers visiting this area increased throughout this period. In addition, the figure for visitors staying on cruise ships overtook those on the island between 2016 to 2017.
Moving to a more detailed analysis, in 2010, the total of travelers who came here was 1 million. Then, there was a sharp increase to 2,7 million travelers in 2015 but later remained stable from 2015 to 2016, standing at 3,5 million in 2017.
In terms of visitors who came here, the number of people staying on cruise ships was less threefold than those on the island in 2010. However, after declining in 2012, visitors staying on cruise ships rose enormously to 2 million in 2017, surpassing those on the island in the later year 2015. In addition, there was a fluctuation in the number of travelers staying on the island, then this figure accounted for 1,5 million in 2017.
