The line graph illustrates, the ratio of smoking in Someland per thousand people from both genders during 1960 to 2000.
Overall, smoking habits among women were escalating as compared to man over the given period. The number of male smokers were decreased as half after four decades.
As is observed, the highest number of smokers was males at the beginning period such as 600 out of 1000 people. While, following the years there was a dramatic decrease in male smokers reached 500 in 1975. After ten years, the trend again fell into 400 in turn, females account for 300 per 1000 people in 1985. Moreover, the account for smoking habits in males remained almost steadily for five years which later plummeted to below 300 at the end of the period.
Regarding smoking in females was mere 100 at the starting period which is doubled after five years and relatively stable for the following years. While during 1975 there was a significant growth in female smokers which is more than 300. The number smokers for the next consecutive tears remained constant up to 1990 and dipped into 200 by the end of the period. Furthermore, the year 2000 smokers ratio difference was approximately 50 per 1000 people in both genders.
