Overall, it is clear that Brazil produced the highest amount of coffee over the period shown and while coffee production in Vietnam, Brazil and Indonesia increased over the period shown, a contrast trend was seen in Colombia.

In 1990, 0,7 million tonnes coffee was made in Brazil, followed by 0,6 millions tonnes of Colombia, being three times as high as that of Indonesia and 0,6 million tonnes higher than the figure for Vietnam.

Throughout the whole time frame, the amount of coffee produced in Brazil jumped to 1,9 million tonnes, a rise of more than 1 million tonnes. Similarly, coffee production in Indonesia and Vietnam also experienced surges to 0,4 and 0,3 million tonnes, respectively. In contrast, the number of coffee made in Colombia halved to 0,3 million tonnes, being equal to that of Vietnam.
