Overall, the market for analyzed goods showed considerable increase in 2004 as compared to 1999. However, Sweden and Denmark showed decline in bananas consumption in 2004.
With regard to coffee sales, the highest amount of that product in money value were sold in Switzerland in 1999 with 3 millions of euros revenue. Nevertheless, in 2004 the situation changed dramatically, the market of UK, with two times lower realization rate than in Switzerland in 1999, experienced more than ten times growth and became the leader of labelled coffee consumption with sales of 20 millions.
In terms of bananas consumption, the leader was Switzerland, where in both years citizens consumed more Fairtrade-labelled bananas than people, who live in other four countries all together. Conversely, the outsiders were Sweden and Denmark, where in sum for two years were sold almost equal amount of bananas for 2.8 and 2.9 millions of euros respectfully.
