The given maps represent before and after development in the village of Stokeford in 1930 and 2010. Overview, it is obvious that the village had a substantial change from an agricultural village into the a residential area.
According to the map in 1930, there were a farmland and some houses in the north of the village. A primary school was located in the center of the town, opposite a post office. Moreover, a large house with gardens was next to the primary schools. There was another farmland in the south of the town that located along the River Stoke.
By 2010, the development had taken place. Many estates were constructed and replaced the farmland in the north. Surprisingly, the primary school was expanded, there were three building in total. In addition, the large house with gardens was reconstructed into a retirement home with smaller gardens. Some parts of the remained garden and the farmland in the south were diminished and replaced by a myriad of houses.
