Moving towards, In North America, the percentage of land degraded for deforestation, over-cultivation and over-grazing was 0.2, 3.3 and 1.5 correspondingly. Furthermore, the highest percentage of land degraded for deforestation was 9.8 and which was in Europe. In this region, 7.7 and 5.5 percentage of land degraded for over-cultivation and over-grazing. In addition, 11.3% of land degraded by Oceania for over-grazing during the 1990s. There was no land for over-cultivation. However, only 1.7% of land degraded for deforestation in Oceania.
To sum up, it can be vividly manifested that the highest and the lowest percentage of total land degraded in Europe and North America during the 1990s.
