The given two charts provide information about the major four causes responsible for the land degradation in three different regions namely North America, europe and Oceania in the world in 1990s.
Overall, the over-grazing is the main reason to deplete the farming land. Moreover, the land of europe depleted more as compared to other two reasons due to deforestation and over-cultivation.
The first chart indicates that the first most significant reason to degrade the land was over-grazing which accounts by 35% whereas deforestation was the second reason to deplete the agricultural land by 30%. over-cultivation degrade only 28% of land area and others reasons accounted by only 7%.
The second chart illustrates that europe suffered a lot from deforestation and over cultivation by 9.8% and 7. 7% respectively. While, Oceania faced from over grazing which accounted by 11. 3% and having no effect of over cultivation. Lastly, the land of north america was not much more affected by all the reasons.
