A glance at the provided line graph reveals the trends of three various types of convictions in central Newport city over interval between 2003 and 2012.
Overall, it is evident that the number of burglary plummeted over the period, whereas the others saw minor variation. In addition, the figure for robbery was smallest in the time surveyed.
It is apparent that from the given information that the number of burglary rose sharply before reaching at peak in 2004, to roughly 3800 incidents. The subsequent 4 years, however, witnessed a tremendous decline of this figure, reaching its lowest point of practically 1100 cases. On the other hand, the figures for car-theft and robbery saw the resembled trend, rising to some points before dropping slightly. It is interesting to note that after 2007, car-theft officially became the most lawbreaking cases in the downtown of Newport, practically 2300 incidents.
In somewhere at 2008, the figure for burglary recovered from its bottom, which is preceded by minor fluctuations. Likewise, the data of robbery remained at similar rate before finishing at roughly 600. Car-theft, in contrast, witnessed a gradual growth, finishing at somewhere above 2500 incidents, which is almost the same with its starting point.
