Conversely, numbering 0.3 million, Canada saw the least popularity at taking railway amongst the four countries mentioned. Meanwhile, moderate level of passengers using railway as their transportation means was recorded in Malaysia and UAE, at somewhere between 5 and 6 million. Likewise, a similar pattern can be noticed in the average length travelled by people in the four countries. 1980 km was travelled by passengers in China, whereas in Canada, the figure was considerablely smaller at just 80km. Finally, less than 800 km was travelled in Malaysia and UAE.
As of freights transported using railway, the largest number at over 28 billion of tons was moved in Canada. In addition, the volume of goods carried in the rest of three countries was almost identical at about 22 billion of tons.
It is also interesting to note that while the most significant number of passengers travelled in China, Canada carried the most number of cargos.
