Three years later, the production of cars in Thailand peaked at 1,162,356 cars made, before experiencing a slight drop to 999,963 units in 2009. Meanwhile, Argentina witnessed a significant growth in this industry, finishing in second place at 466,089 cars produced.

Regarding Australia, it was the second-highest producer in 2003, making 452,163 cars. This number, however, dropped suddenly over the next 3 years, before continuing to plunge to 245,624 cars, which was two times lower than its starting point.
