I hope this letter finds you well. Here I am writing regarding my rent for the month of December 2017. As I am facing some financial difficulties, I would like to pay my rent one week later from the date we commonly agreed.
Probably you know I have changed my job recently, and joined my new company on 20th of December. Since I have worked only for the half of the month, my salary for this month will be prorated. I have received only half month salary from my old company. The payment-day of my new company is different than the old one. They only pay on the first day of the next month. Since 1st January is a holiday, I can get my salary on 2nd January. Currently, I only have the half month salary from my old office, and I am waiting for the salary from my new office.
The money I have is not enough to pay you the rent for this month, and therefore would like to request you allow me to pay your rent on next month on 2nd Jan 2018. However, if it is too difficult for you to adjust, I can manage to pay you half of the rent on 27th December. I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused. I hope you can understand my situation and allow me to pay my rent on next month.
