The graphs below show the numbers of male and female workers in 1975 and 1995 in several employment sectors of the Republic of Freedonia.
Write a report for a university teacher describing the information shown
The graph depicts the number of employees ( men and women) in six different employment sectors (manufacturing, communication, financial/banking, wholesale and retail trade, public sector (defence), public sector (non defence) of the republic of freedoma in the year 1975 and 1995.
Overall, the value of male workers outnumbered that of the female workers in 1975. Also, the public sector (non defence) has the highest number of workers. The year 1995 took almost similar trend except for the difference in wholesale and retail trade, and communication sector which value of women exceed that of men.
The number of workers in the manufacturing and public sector (non defence) for both gender remains unchanged over the given period of time ( women- 300, men ‐ about 650).
A significant change was revealed in wholesale and retail trade and the communication sector. The value of women in the communication sector increased from about 250 to almost 550, while that of male remained the same (350). Also, the value of women in wholesale and retail trade plummeted from 500 to 800 but the number of men (700) was unchanged over the given period of time.
In addition, the number of female employees in the finance/banking sector and public sector (defence) increased from 100 and 50 to 450,100 while that of male employees rose from 450 to 500. In contrast, the number of male in the public sector (defence) declined from almost 210 to 200.
