Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing in response to the advertisement for ‘a volunteer to help run a charity event’ in the Sunday Observer, last week.
I am un university student, and I have been working with different charity events since my school time. I have a proper understanding of why people need helps since some of my friends and relatives were affected by the Tsunami disaster in 2004. I was very young at that time, and I could not do much for them. However, I did my best, and always I remember those people when there is a disaster in the country. I help people and pray for my relatives and friends whose I have lost from natural disasters.
I have experience in coordinating the charity events. For example, I have arranged to distribute books and clothes to children who were affected by the Aranayaka landslide. Most of the people were displaced, and they were in camps, schools or a temple. I was able to donate all collected items, without any favoritism or discrimination.
I might be able to help to coordinate and lead a subcommittee of your charity project. Moreover, I may able to collect more people for this event since I have contact with people who are interested in charity programs.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
VK
