A new neighbour has moved in next door and has taken your main rubbish bin.
Write a letter to your new neighbour requesting that they return the item. In the letter:
– Explain that new bins must be sourced from the local council
– Request that the person returns your bin immediately
– Inform the person of what further actions you will take should they not return your bin
Dear Mrs. Braganza,
I am writing this letter to express my disapproval over the main rubbish bin that was standing in front of my street.
As you are new to this neighborhood, I assume that you are not aware about the functioning of the rubbish bins. New rubbish bins are sourced from the local council upon request and every house is to have a separate rubbish bin of their own. You can write or personally visit the local council to request for a new bin.
It seems that unknowingly you have taken my bin for your use. I request that you return the bin back to us immediately as I have been finding it extremely difficult to clear out my wastes. The garbage truck will only clear out the rubbish from the main bins and we being a family of 6, waste piles up in no time.
I expect that the bin be returned on receipt of this letter, if not then I will have to file a case against you with the building Society Manager, who may ask you to pay a fine for the trouble caused.. To avoid this consequence, please do as requested.
I will be waiting for my bin to be returned as soon as possible.
Kind regards,
Malita
