Dear Elena
How are you? I’ve just arrived safely in Kuala Lumpur, and find myself already missing your company. Thank you for giving me the best holiday ever at your place in Penang. You also pampered me so thoroughly while I was there that I’m completely rejuvenated and refreshed after the holiday.

When I got back, I realised that I left my wallet in your house. I think my wallet is sitting on the dressing table of the bedroom I was using. I remember placing it there before starting to pack, and when the taxi came earlier than expected, I must have forgotten to put it back in my bag .

When you find my wallet, could you please pass it to Arthur who is in Penang this weekend before he returns to Kuala Lumpur on Monday? I would really appreciate it if you could pop around to the Shangrila Hotel to pass my wallet to him anytime on Saturday or Sunday. This would be the quickest and safest way of getting the wallet back to me.

I’m so sorry for being such a scatterbrain and inconveniencing you. I promise to make it up to you by buying you lunch the next time we meet, hopefully soon.

Love,
Chris
