Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to tell you about my latest three-day crash course on Value Added Tax. It is a new law with widespread applicability. This short course was scheduled by the Federal tax Authority in Dubai starting from 1st May to 3rd May 2019.
Firstly, I liked the idea to make business community aware, and not to simply enact the law and levy penalty afterwards. Speakers were Ministry staff and not only were highly qualified but also had relevant work experience from the Big 4 audit firms. Moreover, they started the presentation with the historical background of VAT and took it forward with government’s objective for bringing VAT to the country. Gradually, they took forward the discussion with step-by-step approach to register and invoicing. In spite of just giving ruling information, they ended the lecture with hefty penalties for wrongdoings and tax evasion. Speakers did not leave any area untouched to explain.
Considering, our company is an operating entity in this region, we cannot remain untouched and need to adhere to rules very effectively. This training has enhanced my understanding on law, which in turn will help me in properly timely billing, filling up right returns and comply with all articles mentioned in state executive ruling.
I shall make sure to use this newly acquired skill set for benefit of the company in forthcoming future.
Yours sincerely
Tom Edward
