The table compares the loyalty customers of six separate commodities, namely central heating, television video, vacuum cleaner, refrigerator, washing machine and telephone from 1972 to 1983.
Overall, as can be inferred from the data, there was an upward progression in all items between the year 1972 and 1983 whilst television registered the highest figures out of all 6 groups examined throughout the process.
Looking at the table, television witnessed a noticeable opening number from 93 to 98 in 1972 and 1983 respectively, while vacuum cleaner was the second highest group in this period with a sole exception in the year 1983. In addition, there was a similar pattern in the proportion of refrigerators by 21 in these 8 years. Meanwhile, the figure for central heating increased exponentially from 39 in 1972 to 64 in 1983 and washing machine mirrored the trend above.
In details, the amount of consumer durables in video group jumped from zero in the first seven years to 18 in 1983. A similar vigorous growth was observed in the proportion of dishwasher in the last five years from 3 to 5.
