In recent few years, there has been a widespread debate on whether reading the original book before watching the movie is better or vice versa. Personally, I believe watching the movie is much more preferable. I feel this way for two main reasons, which I will explore in the following essay.
To begin with, people who watch movies instead of reading books save a lot of time. The more books I read, the more is wasting time. This is true because when I want to read a book, I have to spend at least ten hours to finish 150 pages. On the other hand, turning on the television, searching for a film, and watching it. It takes only three hours at much. My own experience is a compelling example of this. When I was an undergraduate student, my teacher assigned an assignment to read a book called the old man and the sea. I did not read it until the night before discussion class. It took 3 hours to finish 50 pages out of 160. Accordingly, I searched on the internet and I found a movie for this book. I set up and watched the movie. As a result, I saved the time from reading the whole book as well as I was able to discuss all the book with my peers. As you can see, If I had not watched the movie, I would not have saved time and participated in class.
In addition to saving time, people who watch movies save money. Movies are usually cost five to twenty dollars, but there is no limit on the price of books. For instance, when I want to watch a movie, I just turn my television and choose a movie between thousands because I have a subscription for Netflix, which cost only $8 monthly for the unlimited watch. On the contrary, buying a book cost $10. In addition, I watch hundreds of stories by watching the TV, but only one story by reading a book. As a result, I gain a lot of information from watching movies as well as saving money.
Frankly speaking, if you do not have time and money, you can watch a movie instead of reading a book. Some people believe that books are not changeable. This is true because sometimes books have a different taste for a lot of people who like to imagine a view that the writer tries to illustrate in a few pages. Movies on the other hand sometimes fail to illustrate it visually.
To conclude, I strongly believe that watching movies is much more practical. This is because not only it saves my time, but also it saves my money.
