Some people like to keep a record of their own experiences by uploading pictures and other information to social-networking sites. Other people prefer not to create such records.Which approach do you prefer, and why?
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
In today's society, with social media platforms being prevalent, many people upload their experiences onto these platforms while others don't. I believe that keeping records from different experiences and sharing them with others on social-networking platforms is an act that benefits oneself and others. I will discuss my reasoning for this notion in the following essay.
First, the pictures and videos uploaded allow us to have organized and well-developed shelves of our experiences, making it easier to access when wanting to review particular experiences and even remanence by remembering the times we had during these operations. For example, after finishing a project for a data science competition, my two other teammates and I uploaded our experiences and reports onto a social media platform. After three years, I still go and read the reports uploaded at the time to get inspiration for my new work. Every time it brings a smile to my face, thinking of the hardships of the time we had together and our hard-earned achievements.
Second, even if the records gathered from the experience are accidentally lost, the files are well kept in the sites and can be restored. For example, when PCs crash, leading to the loss of a big chunk of data and photos with no way of restoring them. If the reports and experiences have been backed up and uploaded to a social networking site, these files can be restored.
Third, when we upload an experience, people with more experience may come forward and comment on our work leading us to improve upon our mistakes. People with less or no experience can learn from our experience. For example, many students, including myself, have been agonizing over how to study for the TOEFL test, but many others have uploaded their experiences on social platforms like Instagram. This allows many novices to get an idea about where to start their journey towards their intended score.
In conclusion, based on the above reasonings, I believe sharing and keeping records of experiences on social-networking platforms is a worthwhile and helpful action.
