Education is a very important part of our lives. It broaden our opportunities to get a good job as well as it determines our level of success. Some people believe that class with open discussions is best; others would disagree. In my view, classes with lectures are more essential for students for two imperative reasons.

First, lectures ensure that most important material is learned. When we take classes that focus on discussion, a few students talk the most. As a result, the classes focus on what they want and not not as much as other students. For example, when I was in pharmacy school, I took organic chemistry. This class was almost discussion. There was a student who always asked questions and proposed ideas with professor. If this class was lecture based, students would have been able to discover more information about chemistry. As you can clearly see, lectures create a stronger learning environment.

Second, students still get to ask question in lecture based class. In order to clear an ambiguous point in the material, students ask questions or make a comment. For instance, in university, I took physiology class with about 150 students, may be more. As you can imagine, this class was lecture. I noticed that students always ask a question or add information during the lecture. This is generated small discussion, but it really useful for students. This experience taught me that lecture based classes are extremely beneficial.

Third, student concentrate about important material in lecture based classes. students in discussion classes distract because the discussion presents the information randomly which is really confuse a student. I remember in pharmacology class which was discussion class. each student asked a question that was not connected to each other. Actually, this class had confused me since our professor was not introduce the points by order. This way conceived me that lecture based class an amazing method to get a complete thought about a topic.

In sum, the most preferable classes are lecture based class. Not only do students expand their knowledge but they also have a chance to ask question, and they will focus on main points. All students should pay attention that lecture based class is an effective method to get education.
