Agnostids
The professor discusses three reasons to indicate why the theories mentioned in the reading do not have an adequate measure. The information she represents is in direct contrast to the facts outlined in the reading passage.
First of all, the speaker points out that Agnostids were not free swimming predators due to the fact that they didn't have large and well developed eyes. On the other hand, according to the reading it is possible that Agnostids were predators which hunt small organisms to provide their food.
Second, the lecturer makes it clear that there is evidence that Agnostids moved in a high speed and they could not be seafloor inhabitants. In fact, she notes that seafloor occupies a small area. In contrast, the reading describes that by living on the seafloor Agnostids may have provided their food from bacteria or other dead organisms.
Third, the professor explains that since Agnostids had a large number of population, the fact that they were parasites is rejected. In addition, the professor emphasized that parasites do not have large population. However, the reading states that Agnostids maybe were parasites which dwelled on other larger organisms.
