Both the reading and the lecture discuss whether '' Eco-certification'' is a good system that might be adopted in United States' wood companies or not. The reading claims that this practice won't be adopted by American's wood company based on three reasons, nevertheless the listener disagrees and explains some arguments to support its points.

In the first place, the reading says that United States' customers are attacked by a wide variety of advertisements offering different wood prices, because of this they won't worry if the product is ''Eco-certified'' or not. Notwithstanding, the listener disregard this point and claims that in the United States people have a particular vision regarding choosing a product, they don't believe in announcement that proclaims to have the best prices, rather they consider environmental conditions.

The second aspect stated by the reading is that wood's companies which used the words ''Eco-certification'' ,for sure will have higher prices than those which don't use it. In the opposite direction, the listener posits that it might be true that these companies might charge customers with other quotas, but it will be a minimum difference of only five percent, so clients won't pay attention to this minimum difference and will choose the ''Eco-certified'' one.

The third, the reading claims that American's wood companies don't sell their products in other countries, only In USA, thus they don't need ''Eco-certifications''. Nevertheless, the listener disagrees, and she outright support the fact that foreign companies will compete with the American's local companies due to the fact that foreign companies will used ''Eco-certification'' and for sure customers will prefer this.
