In this case, the article alleges the decline in youth' tendency toward novels, poems and plays has cynicism impacts on our culture, the role of reading and the future of literature. However, the lecture casts a shadow of doubt on the proposed idea of the article in which it has been disapproved by the same sources.

First and for most, the lecture brings up the idea that other types of book such as history, scientific, political analyzing and so on are promulgated among young people. In addition, these books are helping people enhance their creativity and obtain the wide ranges of knowledge. While, this directly repudiates the article which declares decreasing the number of young people who read the literature books eliminates some important advantages.

Based on the passage, the second critical point is that people prefer to watch TV programs or music video instead of opening a literature books. This new preference causes a people's narrow deep concept of culture. In the contrast, the lecture challenges the claim by stating that cultures are changed and there are several forms of method which convey our emotion and culture, for example listening to a brilliant song or watching a good movie.

Finally, the lecture contends author' faults guide people to read less literature. Nowadays, young people could not understand the context of literature books and it is hard for them make connection with literature subjects. Therefore, we do not have to blame readers instead of writers. This entirely contradicts with what the reading indicates the publishers are not willing to spend large amount money for funding the writers due to the lack of professional readers.
