Both the passage and the lecture explain about the group working. The author of the passage believes that team working is better than the working individually, however, the professor in the lecture casts doubt on the reading and refutes the author's reasons by providing the evidence of a company.
At first, the passage states that the result of the team working will be better than the working alone. Because in each group, every member has special skills, knowledge, and experiences, hence, the result of the team working will be better than working individually. On the other hand, the professor in the lecture challenges this assertion and states that in that research, some members of a group did not work very well, but, they benefited the result.
Second, the passage believes that team working is quicker than working alone. However, the professor explains that in the mentioned research, members waste a lot of time for discussing the group decisions. Hence, the whole project progressed slowly.
Finally, the author acclaims that in team working, each member has this opportunity to shine. However, the professor opposes this assertion and explains that the impressive people in the group choose especial decisions. Although other members know that these decisions are not correct, they cannot oppose their superior, hence, the project will fail and all of the members will be affected by this failure.
