The reading explains that dinosaurs were endotherms and provides three reasons of support. The professor, however, explains that scientist have problem with the reasons that prove dinosaurs were endotherms and refutes each of author's reasons.
First, the reading claims that dinosaur fossils in polar regions show they were Endotherms. The professor refutes this point by saying that location of their fossil could not prove this claim. She mentions that although it is true that some fossils of dinosaurs are in polar regions, they could migrate to warmer regions. Besides, the professor says that dinosaurs might hibernate.
Second, the article states that dinosaur's leg position and their runing is a evidence for the idea of being endotherm. The professor definitely rebuts this point by saying that runnig needs a lot of energy. She says that dinosaurs were so larg and they had a larg wieght which did not let them to run. As another note, the lecturer mentions the point that position of legs' other animals are the same too but they are not Endotherms.
Finally, the reading states that dinosaur had Harversuan canals which allow them to grow quickly as the same as Endothermy. The professor contradict this idea by saying that their growing was not enought. She mentions that it is true that dinosaurs have haversian canals but they growing was not as much enough as the endotherms. Besides, she mentions the point that endotherms grew so rapidly.
