The reading passage states that there are an exciting finding of actual tissues by researchers in a T. rex leg bone and introduces three important discoveries. However, the professor in the listening considers these finding skeptical and opposes all of them.
First, the passage claims that the finding of soft, flexible organic materials inside the bone well represents a real blood vessel. Conversely, the professor refutes this point by stating that bacteria colonization in bone is prone to be the cause of the remains trace of organic substances. Thus, this is not the possible explanation of the finding.
Second, the reading mentions that there are some parts showed the presence of spheres that could be the remains of red blood cells. The professor contends this point by saying that these spheres are not red blood cells as it showed by another finding in some primitive animals. It can be reddish minerals.
Third, the passage states that scientists find the presence of collagen in the leg bone. The professor argues against this finding by stating that it is not possible because collagen does not last for more than 100000 years, according to recent finding. He points out that the collagen could have come from other sources such as scientists' skin.
All in all, the professor casts doubt on all of the reading points.
