Pterosaurs were ancient reptiles that had wings. The lecture states that these animals were not able to fly, and it provide three reason of support. The professor opposes this statement and mentions that these animals were capable to fly and reject all of the three reasons one by one.
Firs, the article states that evidence shows Pterosaurs were cold-blood and they did not have enough energy to fly. On the other hand, the professor mentions that they had a dense hair cover that helped them to stay warm, so it was possible for them to fly.
Second, Pterosaurs were as large as a Giraffe and heavy that prevent them to wing fast enough and fly. On the contrary, the professor states that they had some features that made them less heavy as they seem. For example they had many hollow in the bones.
Third, the text claims that Pterosaurs was not able to take off like other powered flight animals. Other animals can jump or run to take off, while Pterosaurs had lack of strong muscles to jump or fly. In contrast, the professor states that Pterosaurs walk on the four legs that can give them ability fo jump or run enough for taking off.
