TPO 50- Scientists are considering the possibility of sending humans to Mars in the coming decades. Although there have been successful manned missions to the Moon in the 1960s and 1970s, Mars is 150 times further away from Earth than the Moon is. Thus the project of sending humans to Mars would require solving an array of problems the Moon missions did not have to face
Both the reading and listening discuss sending humans to the Mars. The reading passage propose three problem that may occure in the space. The professor brings up solusion to those problem.
First of all, the reading passage states that lack of food, water, and oxygen is a big problem for the people in space. On the other hand, the lecturer holds the view that the hydropanic mehtod hepl to solve this problem. she explain that in this method put the root of plan into the water instead of soil. In result, the plan recycle water to the kleen eater and change the cabondiaxad to the oxygen and also the astronunt can cultivat foods.
secondly, the author claims that two years travel to the space can affect human's body. However professor underlines the fact that by using the several technics this problem will be eliminated. she mention to the regular exercise to increase bon abillity and also consum of calsum.
Finally, tthe exposition to the dangerous radiate mentioned by author could be controled as the professor states. she thinks the radiation from the sun are occationally hence we can dam it by a small shelter that have less weight. In addition a monitor can help the scapceship to approximate the amount and also the time of sun's radiations.
To sum up, although there is some problem in case of traveling to the space but the elit human brings up solusion.
