The reading passage supports migration hypothesis which claims based on discovered fossils in Alaska North Slope that dinosaurs migrated to south during dark wintertime and holds forth three reasons for accuracy of that hypothesis. However, in the lecture, professor rejects the migration supposition by refuting all those three reasons mentioned in the article.
First, according to the reading text, dinosaurs migrated to the hospitable parts because they fed on vegetables that most likely were rare in winter. While, in the lecture, professor contradicts the conviction by explaining that it is not cogent. She states that with long sunshine during summer, vegetables have great time to grow well and supply sufficient store as dead tissues for winter time. So, animals can feed on nutrient remained from summer time.
Second, it is described in the article that according to the skeletons unearthed in the same place, the elephant-sized animals migrated and living in herds is authentic reason for approving the hypothesis. On the other hand, professor converts the reasons by talking that living as herd cannot be persuasive evidence and they might live in group for providing more protection against predators. She adds an example of Rosa welt Elk which are living in herds but not for migration.
Finally, it is mentioned in the article, dinosaurs were physically able to migrate in long distance and run fast. The professor contradicts the physical ability as a reason by providing an intense of Mon stove. She describes that even though Mon stoves are physically mature to migrate North, they cannot leave their place because of supporting juveniles which are slow and need their parent's cares.
