The writer elaborated that people in dry regions face difficult time to acquire food and other resources. In contrast, the lecturer stated that rewarded would solve this problem. She suggested that citizens of dry regions can use the devices to assist the growth of their vegetables and other plants. Furthermore, she said that after tress grow, people can use trees branches for fire.
Finally, the article suggests that these devices have limited ability to collect and conserve water. The writer claimed that devices would only help small trees, while large trees cannot survive in the harsh environment. The lecturer responded that device will help the trees to grow roots deep down in the soil, so it will be able to reach water. In addition, she mentioned that many large trees are still thriving two years after removing the device.
