Humans are complicated and wonderful creatures that are mostly different from other animals by the abilities such as talking, writing, and sensing the numbers. In fact, a good sense of numbers is one of the most important human qualities.

Knowing the numbers enables the human beings keep an objective record of various things. According to archeologists, there were primitive human societies who just could count till 10, equal to the sum of their hands fingers. For example, they showed three of fingers to suggest that there are three birds there. Thus, the numbers greater than 10 was known as many. Supposing such way of counting, it would be totally useless and even funny for today's life.

Another prominent skill which is related to sense of numbers is operating with numbers. Nowadays, scientists do wonderful and mind-blowing calculations that are strongly dependent on their capability of dealing with enormously huge or small numbers. For instance, astronauts can calculate the precise landing location of an unmanned space craft on Mars; or, architects are capable of estimating the accurate loads that a certain structure can bear.

The most tangible influence of sensing numbers in our daily lives is managing monetary issues like allocating our budget to different tasks, keeping the account of earnings and expenditures, as well as trading with other people. Not knowing how to work with numbers makes buying a bottle of milk the most difficult job in the whole universe. My grand grand father could not count his money and he usually lost some on daily trades.

On the whole, the sense of number has revolutionized our lives from the simplest aspects of it to the most complex ones. We can not imagine a world with out numbers and they are incorporated in our lives such way that with out knowing them we will seem like totally illiterate.
