Some people think that it is better to travel as part of a tour group when they are visiting foreign country. Other people prefer to make their own travel plans so that they can independently. Which approach do you think is better and why?
There are advantages and disadvantages to traveling alone or with a tour group when visiting foreign countries and it really depends on which country your visiting, because in some countries like Egypt or Peru you're better off with a group than going alone due to many crimes like pick-pocketing, robberies, thefts that take place there. In my opinion, it is better to travel alone because of two reasons. First, without the tour group, you will have complete control of what to see and where to visit. In most cases, group travelling will miss out certain things and the experience won't be worthwhile. Secondly, by travelling as a group you're more likely to get robbed because travel groups are easily recognized as tourists by their clothing and the camera hanging around the neck. For these reasons, I believe that traveling independently is better.
