The university plans to start providing free tutoring for first-year students from next fall semester to give them academic support and chances to meet tutors of their own majors.
The woman agrees with this idea. Firstly, she thinks many new students really need extra help with course material, notes or preparation for exams. Both she and the man had a hard time learning on their own when they first came here. Besides, it’s an advantage to meet somebody with the same interests, because they can get information about classes, professors or advisors from students who have experience about these things.
