the diagram below shows the production of a lead pencil summarise the information by selecting and reporting main features and make comparisons where relevant

The illustration describes the process of manufacturing lead pencils from wood with several phases.
On the whole, the production process involves two main stages: the preparation of wood and its transformation into pencils over the period of almost 18 years.
To begin with the preparation of wood, firstly, the seeds are sowed in order to start growing the trees. Then, after 4 months, the seedlings are replanted so as to get more space. Three years after that, the trees are trimmed to increase the potential growth. Fourteen years later, the trees are chopped down to get woods and be ready for the manufacturing process.
The progression continues with the phase of woods’ transition into pencils. After the woods have been cut into slight bars, they are subsequently treated to prevent them from being rotted. Next, sixty years later, the glue is used to stick the black leads in the trench. It is only after this stage that another slat is put on top to make a sandwich after which the sandwich is rigid whilst warmed at high temperature simultaneously. The grooves are then cut into lead pencils. In the end, the pencils are colored, honed and marked. This is the last process before they get packaged and ready to be sold.
